[OLD] How to Vote in Local 1549’s Elections (May 2024)
Local 1549 is conducting an election for chapter officers, chapter delegates to Local 1549, and a local-wide election for delegates to the AFSCME international convention from 12:00 PM on Monday, April 29, 2024 to 5:00 PM on Tuesday, May 28, 2024.

What’s On Your Ballot
Depending on whether or not your chapter has a competitive election for chapter officers & chapter delegates, you will have the option to vote for:
Chapter Officers
Chapter Delegates to Local 1549
AFSCME International Union Convention Delegates (At-Large)
The first two categories are restricted to each voter’s respective chapter / unit in Local 1549. For example, members working in the Civilian Complaint Review Board will vote in Unit 8, which is the Law Department, CFB, Tax Commission, CCRB Chapter.
The third category for AFSCME International Union Convention Delegates will be a vote across all Local 1549 members.
How to Vote Online / With A QR Code
Scan the QR code on your mailed “Voting Notice / Instructions / Guide” OR go to https://es2.ballotpoint.com/vote/AFSCME1549
If you clicked on the URL instead of scanning the QR code, enter the unique Access Code from your mailed “Voting Notice / Instructions / Guide” to access your online ballot
Make your selections by checking the boxes next to your choice
Click “CAST BALLOT” once you are ready to vote for your choices
How to Vote With Your Phone
Call the toll free number for BallotPoint: 1-877-813-6440
When prompted, enter the unique Access Code from your mailed “Voting Notice / Instructions / Guide”
Make your selections using your phone’s keypad when prompted for each section. A list of candidates and corresponding number selections will be printed on your “Voting Notice / Instructions / Guide”

Getting Help With Voting
If you have questions or need assistance with voting, contact the Local 1549 Elections Committee at electionscommittee7@gmail.com.
If you did not receive a ballot for the election by May 10, 2024, then contact the Local 1549 Elections Committee at electionscommittee7@gmail.com to request a duplicate ballot to be mailed to you. The deadline to request a duplicate ballot is May 20, 2024 and your request must include the following information:
Member’s first and last name
Member’s home mailing address (Street, City, State & ZIP Code)
Member’s phone number
Member’s email address
Member’s date of birth
Last 4 digits of member’s Social Security number
